Recorded at Van Gelder Studio in December 1958 and originally issued as Blue Note BLP 84007, this 2006 remastered reissue transfers the session at 24-bit resolution. Donald Byrd leads a hard bop date produced by Alfred Lion, with Pepper Adams on baritone sax. Covers include the standard "Lover Come Back To Me" alongside Sonny Rollins' "Paul's Pal."
