Getting Down To Business was recorded at Van Gelder Studios in October 1989 and released on Landmark Records in 1990. It features Donald Byrd on trumpet and flugelhorn leading a sextet with Joe Henderson, produced by Orrin Keepnews. Recorded direct to two-track digital tape using the Mitsubishi X-80. Highlights include "Theme For Malcolm" and the Duke Ellington standard "I Got It Bad And That Ain't Good."
