Recorded in 1962 and produced by Bob Thiele, this meeting between Duke Ellington and John Coltrane yielded one of the most celebrated sessions in jazz history. This is the 1995 European Impulse! reissue, remastered at MCA Music Media Studios using 20-Bit Super Mapping, with Michael Cuscuna overseeing the reissue. Highlights include "In A Sentimental Mood" and the Coltrane original "Big Nick".
