Recorded in a single session on 18 August 1962 and produced by Bob Thiele, this album pairs Duke Ellington's orchestra with tenor saxophonist Coleman Hawkins across eight tracks including "Mood Indigo" and "Self Portrait (Of The Bean)". Originally released on Impulse!, this is a 1982 UK reissue on Jasmine Records -- the label's catalogue number JAS 1.
