2024 reissue of Edwin Birdsong's 1979 self-titled LP on Philadelphia International, pressed on crystal clear and transparent green marbled wax, limited to 750 copies. Cola Bottle Baby is the standout -- its synth bassline was sampled by Kanye West on Stronger and Daft Punk on Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. Funk and disco throughout, with Kunta Dance and Goldmine among the deeper cuts.
