Prelude is the debut album by Brazilian arranger and pianist Eumir Deodato, recorded at Van Gelder Studios in September 1972 and released on CTI in January 1973. This is a UK first pressing on CTI Records (CTL 10). The opening fusion rework of Also Sprach Zarathustra reached the US Top 2 and won a Grammy. Also features a reworking of Debussy's Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune.
