Recorded on 4th January 1969 at Chess Ter-Mar Studios in Chicago, Blues Jam In Chicago Vol. 1 captures early Fleetwood Mac alongside Chicago blues veterans Otis Spann, Willie Dixon, Buddy Guy, and Walter Horton, produced by Marshall Chess and Mike Vernon. This 2004 Columbia/Blue Horizon remaster adds three bonus tracks. Willie Dixon's "I Can't Hold Out" and Horton's own "Horton's Boogie Woogie" are highlights.
