Frank Stokes was a guitarist and vocalist central to the Memphis blues scene of the late 1920s, recording for Paramount and Victor between 1927 and 1929. This 1977 Yazoo compilation collects 14 tracks from that period, including "Mr. Crump Don't Like It" and "Beale Town Bound". Yazoo's red label pressing on the New York address. Original recordings span 1927--29.
