Fred McDowell's London Calling hypnotic hill country slide guitar blues recorded during a UK tour.

Fred McDowell recorded this set live at the Mayfair Hotel, London, in 1969, capturing his slide guitar technique in a rare UK concert document. Released by Complete Blues (Snapper Music) in 2005, it includes "61 Highway", "Write Me A Few Short Lines" -- later covered by the Rolling Stones -- and "Shake 'Em On Down", a Bukka White song McDowell made his own.
