Freddie Hubbard's 1961 Bell Sound Studios session, released by Black Lion in 1989. Recorded on 2nd August 1961, the set captures Hubbard in an early hard bop and post-bop setting, with alternate takes throughout. Five tracks -- including takes from "Minor Mishap", "Blues For Alvena", "Lex", and "Apothegm Adams" -- appear here for the first time. Standards "The Nearness Of You" and "Time After Time" also feature.
