Freeez were a London jazz-funk outfit who broke through in the early 1980s before John Rocca's lead vocal on "I.O.U." crossed them into pop territory. This 1981 Beggars Banquet 12" predates that crossover -- the A-side disco version of "Anti-Freeez (Set Me Free)" sits firmly in the dancefloor-focused jazz-funk scene alongside acts like Light of the World and Beggar & Co.
