Fuse One was a rotating collective assembled by producer Creed Taylor for CTI Records, bringing together players including George Benson, Tom Browne, and Stanley Clarke without a designated leader. Silk, recorded at Van Gelder Studio in September 1981, captures the project's jazz-funk direction across four extended tracks. This is an original 1981 US pressing on CTI 9006.
