George Faith's To Be A Lover was recorded at Lee Perry's Black Ark Studios in Kingston and originally released in 1977 on Island's Mango imprint. Produced and arranged by Perry, the album pairs Faith's deep soul vocals with classic covers -- "In the Midnight Hour", "To Be a Lover" -- reimagined in Perry's signature roots-and-dub style. This is the US Mango pressing (MLPS 9504).
