Excellent copy!

George Jackson's 1972 single, produced by Willie Mitchell at Hi Records, reached the UK on London Records (HLU 10373). The A-side is a direct appeal to Aretha Franklin, a plea-as-tribute that showcases Jackson's deep Southern soul voice. Mitchell's production -- sparse, warm, Hi Rhythm Section all over it -- makes this a strong example of the Memphis sound Jackson and Mitchell built together in that period.
