George Lewis was a New Orleans clarinettist central to the traditional jazz revival of the 1940s and 50s. This UK Vogue EP (EPV 1066) is a repress of material originally issued on Blue Note Records, New York -- credited on the label. Four tracks including Climax Rag and Milenberg Joys, a standard associated with the New Orleans repertoire. The "R/T" notation on the label indicates a later repress.
