From a beautifully preserved collection. Slight age discolouration to the rear sleeve. A majority of records in this collection are in EX to NM condition. We have graded them conservatively here.

George Lewis was a New Orleans clarinettist whose recordings helped revive traditional jazz interest in the late 1940s and 50s. This UK Esquire EP from 1957 -- purple label with gold text -- collects three band performances including "Tin Roof Blues" and "Dippermouth Blues", a King Oliver tune closely associated with Louis Armstrong. Catalogued in Derek Coller and Eric Townley's 1957 Jazz Discography.
