Gershon Kingsley's Popcorn LP, released on Polydor Germany in 1972, is the album that introduced "Popcorn" to the world -- the Moog synthesizer track later covered and charted by Hot Butter that same year. Kingsley, a pioneer of electronic music, leads the First Moog Quartet through ten short tracks blending classical references (Handel, Gabrieli) with original compositions, all performed on early Moog synthesizers.
