Grant Green's debut as a leader, recorded at Van Gelder Studio in January 1961 and produced by Alfred Lion for Blue Note. This is a 1993 Japanese CD reissue (TOCJ-4064) with obi strip. Green leads a trio through hard bop and soul-jazz, including the blues workout "Blues For Willarene" and a stretched reading of "Lullaby Of The Leaves." Ben Dixon and Baby Face Willette complete the lineup.
