Split is the fourth album by The Groundhogs, released in 1971 on Liberty Records. Written and arranged entirely by guitarist Tony McPhee, it's a concept record exploring a fractured mind across four linked parts on the A-side. Recorded at De Lane Lea Studios in November 1970 and engineered by Martin Birch. This is an early UK pressing on Liberty (LBG 83401), identifiable by black labels without "Made in England."
