Harlem River Drive was a New York Latin funk and jazz outfit led by Eddie Palmieri, active in the early 1970s. This 2017 Soul Brother Records 7" pulls two cuts from their 1971 self-titled debut -- "Idle Hands" and "Seeds Of Life" -- remastered for 45 RPM. Palmieri's band blended Afro-Latin percussion, electric piano, and hard funk in a way that remained influential across soul and hip-hop production.
