Herbie Hancock's Future Shock LP (1983, CBS) marked his full pivot into electro-funk, produced by Bill Laswell with Material. This UK 12" single pairs the title track and Earth Beat with an 11-minute megamix across the B-side, running through Autodrive, Rockit, I Thought It Was You, and more. Rockit hit UK #8 and introduced scratch DJing to mainstream pop audiences via Grandmixer DXT.
