Hudson People was a UK funk act produced and written by Reginald Hudson. "Boogie On Downtown" was released in 1979 on Virgin Records (VS 30112) as a 12-inch single, backed with a full-length instrumental version. An original UK pressing, it sits in the post-Philadelphia disco-funk wave that Virgin briefly distributed domestically before the format peaked.
