Irma Thomas recorded this set live at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in April 1976, capturing the Louisiana soul singer in her home territory. Originally released on Island Records, this is the 1981 UK Charly reissue. Tracks include her Allen Toussaint-penned "Ruler Of My Heart" and "Wish Someone Would Care," plus her cover of "Lady Marmalade" predating the LaBelle hit's wider fame.
