Theme From Shaft was Isaac Hayes's 1971 US #1 single, lifted from the Stax double LP soundtrack to Gordon Parks's film. This is an original UK pressing on Stax, catalogue 2025-069, made in Great Britain. The A-side won Hayes the Academy Award for Best Original Song. The B-side is the instrumental "Cafe Regio's" from the same sessions.
