Invitation is a 1983 live big band album by bassist Jaco Pastorius, recorded with a large ensemble and released on Warner Bros. This 2018 Music On Vinyl reissue (MOVLP2060) marks a welcome return to print. The set includes his electric bass showcase "Continuum," a cover of Duke Ellington's "Sophisticated Lady," and a medley pairing John Coltrane's "Giant Steps" with Pastorius's own "Reza."
