I Got The Feelin' was first released in 1968 on King Records, capturing James Brown at the peak of his funk output. This Polydor reissue (catalogue PD 1031) compiles tracks including the title cut, a US R&B chart-topper, alongside "If I Ruled the World" and the two-part "Maybe I'll Understand." Produced by Brown himself, the set draws from sessions that defined the harder funk direction he pioneered through the late sixties.
