From a beautifully preserved collection. A majority of records in this collection are in EX to NM condition. We have graded them conservatively here.

James P. Johnson -- a key architect of stride piano -- recorded these five solo performances around 1944, capturing his rolling left-hand technique on originals and standards including "Willow Tree" and "Crazy 'Bout My Baby." This 1958 UK Tempo Records EP (EXA 65) was compiled by Frank Dutton and Eric Townley for the Just Jazz 3 Jazz Discography series.
