Recorded at Rainbow Studio, Oslo in July 1988 and produced by Manfred Eicher, Legend Of The Seven Dreams is a Jan Garbarek quartet album on ECM. The opening track draws on a traditional Sami joik melody. The record sits in the Nordic jazz vein Garbarek developed through the 1980s, blending saxophone with folk-influenced textures. This is the original 1988 West German pressing on ECM 1381.
