Jean Goldkette's orchestra was one of the top dance bands of the late 1920s, rivalling Henderson and Ellington in commercial reach. This Australian Swaggie EP collects six sides featuring cornetist Bix Beiderbecke, including "Slow River" and "Sunday," drawn from his 1926--27 tenure with the band. Swaggie was a Melbourne reissue label specialising in early jazz archival releases.
