Jimmie Lunceford And His Orchestra was one of the leading big bands of the swing era, recording prolifically through the 1930s and 40s. This UK Brunswick LP (LAT 8027) compiles key sides including "Yard Dog Mazurka" and "Stratosphere," both arranged by Trummy Young and Sy Oliver. The catalogue number discrepancy between sleeve and labels is a known feature of this pressing.
