The New Jimmy Reed Album was recorded in Chicago in November 1966 and released in 1967 on Bluesway, ABC Records' blues imprint, produced by Al Smith. Reed's harmonica-driven Chicago blues is all over it -- "Big Boss Man" is among his best-known cuts, later covered by Elvis Presley and the Rolling Stones. An original US pressing on BLS-6004.
