From a beautifully preserved collection. Writing on sleeve. Slight age discolouration to the rear sleeve. A majority of records in this collection are in EX to NM condition. We have graded them conservatively here.

Jimmy Yancey was a self-taught Chicago boogie-woogie pianist whose sparse, blues-drenched style influenced generations of players. This UK Vogue EP (EPV 1203) collects four solo piano recordings -- "At The Window", "Boodlin'", "Sweet Patootie", and "The Rocks" -- pressed in England around 1957. Yancey died in 1951, making these late-career recordings among the few documents of his playing captured on record.
