Lovely copy.

Jody Watley's self-titled debut, released 1987 on MCA Records, produced across the board by André Cymone, Bernard Edwards, and David Z. Lead single "Looking For A New Love" reached the US top five and launched Watley as a solo force after her years in Shalamar. Edwards brings his Chic-rooted bass sensibility to the sessions, audible throughout the record's clean funk arrangements.
