State of Emergency is a 1976 Jamaican 7" single on Joe Gibbs Record Globe, produced and arranged by Joel Arthur Gibson (Joe Gibbs). The A-side rides a heavy roots reggae groove, with the instrumental dub version on the flip -- a standard format Gibbs used throughout his mid-70s run with The Professionals, the house band anchored by Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare.
