Joe Louis Walker's Live At Slim's Vol.1 captures two nights at Slim's in San Francisco, November 1990, released on Hightone Records and licensed to Demon for this 1991 French-manufactured CD. Walker, a Bay Area blues guitarist who trained under gospel legend Bishop Samuel Wright, delivers a set spanning original material and covers including "Don't Mess Up A Good Thing," made famous by Fontella Bass and Bobby McClure.
