Joe Simon's "Step By Step" was released in 1973 on Mojo Records, a UK outlet for US soul product during that era. Produced by Raeford Gerald, this UK pressing carries Simon's smooth Southern soul style. The A-side "Step By Step" later became a well-travelled sample source in hip-hop. Silver injection moulded labels confirm an original UK pressing.
