Blue Train is John Coltrane's sole album as leader for Blue Note, recorded in 1957 at Van Gelder Studio with Lee Morgan, Curtis Fuller, Kenny Drew, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones. This is a 1985 French reissue on Manhattan/Blue Note, mastered using Direct Metal Mastering. The session features "Moment's Notice" and "Lazy Bird", both Coltrane originals that became hard bop standards.
