Blue Train is John Coltrane's sole album as a leader for Blue Note Records, recorded at Van Gelder Studios in September 1957 and originally released in 1958. This 2022 reissue appears in mono, matching the original BLP 1577 configuration. The session features Lee Morgan, Curtis Fuller, and Kenny Drew, with all five compositions written by Coltrane, including "Moment's Notice" and "Lazy Bird."
