Giant Steps is John Coltrane's landmark 1960 album for Atlantic, recorded in 1959 and produced by Nesuhi Ertegun. This 2002 European reissue on Warner Jazz adds seven alternate takes and versions to the original eight-track album. The title track and Naima remain among the most studied compositions in jazz. Made in Germany.
