Drifting Blues collects early 1960s recordings by John Lee Hooker, issued in the UK on Atlantic in 1967 under licence from Atlantic Recording Corporation USA. The set pulls from his raw, boogie-driven sessions -- solo electric blues at its most direct. "Don't Turn Me From Your Door" was later covered by the Rolling Stones on their 1964 debut.
