Product Review:
John Lee Hooker's The Collection 1948-52 — formative early recordings from the Detroit blues legend.

John Lee Hooker's early recordings for Modern Records, cut in Detroit between 1948 and 1952, captured him at his most raw -- solo electric guitar, stomping foot, and vocals. This 2003 EMI compilation draws from those sessions, including "I'm in the Mood" and "Boogie Chillen", both US hits. "Baby Please Don't Go" later became a garage rock standard. Tracks appear here under their original pseudonymous release titles.

Expert, honest grading

Used records and CDs are graded when we catalogue them for sale and again before they are sent out. So they should reach you in the condition you expect.

Every used record and CD pro-cleaned

We clean our used vinyl records using a VPI vacuum cleaner. More expensive records are also cleaned ultrasonically. CDs are cleaned gently by hand.

Re-sleeving

We place each used record in a brand new paper or anti-static audiophile inner sleeve. We then place the record and sleeve (separately) into a brand new outer sleeve. Ready to be enjoyed!
