From a beautifully preserved collection. Slight age discolouration to the rear sleeve. A majority of records in this collection are in EX to NM condition. We have graded them conservatively here.

Grand Encounter was recorded in Los Angeles on 10 February 1956, produced by Richard Bock for Pacific Jazz. The session brought together pianist John Lewis, tenor saxophonist Bill Perkins, bassist Percy Heath, drummer Chico Hamilton, and guitarist Jim Hall. This is a Scandinavian EP pressing on Artist Records. The title track and standards "Skylark" and "I Can't Get Started" are across the two sides.
