Product Review:
From a beautifully preserved collection. A majority of records in this collection are in EX to NM condition. We have graded them conservatively here.

Johnny Hodges, Duke Ellington's long-serving alto saxophonist, recorded prolifically as a bandleader through the 1950s. This 1959 UK Columbia EP collects four tracks -- "You Blew Out the Flame", "Blue Fantasia", "Sideways", and "Wham" -- drawn from sessions featuring his small-group orchestra. A period original on 45 RPM, it captures Hodges' warm, fluid alto in the intimate small-band format he favoured outside of Ellington's full ensemble.

Expert, honest grading

Used records and CDs are graded when we catalogue them for sale and again before they are sent out. So they should reach you in the condition you expect.

Every used record and CD pro-cleaned

We clean our used vinyl records using a VPI vacuum cleaner. More expensive records are also cleaned ultrasonically. CDs are cleaned gently by hand.

Re-sleeving

We place each used record in a brand new paper or anti-static audiophile inner sleeve. We then place the record and sleeve (separately) into a brand new outer sleeve. Ready to be enjoyed!
