Ji is the debut album by Norman Giscombe Jr., recording as Junior, released in 1982 on Mercury. Co-written and produced with Bob Carter, it includes "Mama Used To Say," a UK top five hit that crossed over to the US R&B chart. The album sits in the early-80s British funk-soul wave alongside contemporaries on the Brit-funk scene. UK first pressing on Mercury MERS 3.
