Recorded in July 1971 at Atlantic Recording Studios in New York, El Juicio (The Judgement) captures Keith Jarrett's quartet in post-bop territory, produced by George Avakian. Released on Atlantic in 1975, the set includes "Pardon My Rags," an unaccompanied piano solo, and two tributes to Ornette Coleman on the B-side. Quartet members also play steel drums and various percussion throughout.
