Ken Colyer was a British trumpeter and a central figure in the UK trad jazz revival of the 1950s. He travelled to New Orleans in 1952-53 to play with local musicians -- an unusual move for a British musician at the time. This UK Vogue EP, catalogue EPV 1102, captures recordings from that period. The tri-centre pressing dates it to the early 1950s, making it a period original.
