Quiet Kenny is a 1959 solo session by trumpeter Kenny Dorham, recorded at Van Gelder Studios and originally issued on New Jazz. This 1966 Japanese Prestige pressing (SMJ-7380) is part of the Jazz Immortal Masterpiece Series and includes an OBI strip. Dorham plays unaccompanied on several tracks, with Tommy Flanagan on piano. Highlights include "Lotus Blossom" and the slow-burning "Blue Friday".
