L.A. Star was a UK R&B act on Profile Records, the New York indie label known for its hip-hop roster. This white label promo (PROFT 294-DJ) from 1990 features three versions of Fade To Black, led by the Boiler House Jazz Mix on the A-side. Profile was home to Run-DMC and Rob Base during this period, making UK promo copies from the label relatively scarce finds.
