Superb! From a lovely collection of Jazz 45s.

Recorded in Hollywood on 15 April 1954 and produced by Richard Bock, this EP captures Brazilian-born guitarist Laurindo Almeida and alto saxophonist Bud Shank blending bossa nova-adjacent harmonics with West Coast cool jazz -- predating the bossa nova boom by several years. This is the UK Vogue pressing (EPV 1140), featuring four tracks including "Blue Baiao" and "Carinoso".
