Lee Dorsey's "Working In The Coal Mine" was written, arranged, and produced by Allen Toussaint for Amy Records in 1966, reaching the US Top 10. This is the original UK Stateside pressing (SS 528). The Devo cover brought it back to wider attention in 1981. The B-side, "Mexico", is also a Toussaint composition.
